Our 18+ Trust Service is the next essential stage of support for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) who have turned 18 but are yet to receive a final decision on their asylum claim. This service provides continuity of care, building on the foundations laid during their time in our 16–18 UASC provision, ensuring that young people remain safe, supported, and hopeful during this critical period of uncertainty in their immigration journey.
We provide consistent key workers, familiar accommodation environments, and trusted routines to reduce stress during the transition into adulthood while asylum claims remain unresolved.
Our team works closely with immigration solicitors, the Home Office, and charities like the Red Cross to ensure each young person is fully supported throughout their asylum process.
Residents continue developing life skills, pursuing education, accessing healthcare, and participating in community and religious activities that promote wellbeing and independence.
Once a young person receives a positive asylum decision, they move seamlessly into our 18+ Exempt Supported Accommodation Service. This ensures no break in care, and the focus shifts toward sustainable independent living and community integration.
